Samsung J700 mobile phone review

A few days ago I purchased the Samsung J700. At first it looked very sleek, neat, and an absolute bargain (at £59.99 on virgin – it is even cheaper on some other networks!). Since then it has definitely had a lot more to tell me than it’s look. I have put together a list of advantages/things I really liked about it, and then another list containing the (very few) disadvantages.

Advantages:

  • Bluetooth ( My usb connection on my pc doesn’t work with storage devices, so usually I wouldn’t be able to put music onto an ipod etc. but this time I was able to transfer loads of my music and videos onto the phone, wirelessly!)
  • Music/video player
  • Long battery life
  • Compact
  • Triband
  • FM radio (only if you have headphones for it)
  • Voice Dialling
  • Speakerphone
  • Picture messaging
  • Camera (1.3 mp – not that much, but compared to my old phone, far better.)
  • Video Camera
  • Email
  • Menu transitions
  • Image editing
  • You can change the colour of the number you are dialling to whatever you want, even RAINBOW :D
  • The lights of the buttons only turn on after 5 pm
  • Expandable memory

Disadvantages

  • You need to buy the earphones separately as they have their own unique socket.
  • The speaker isn’t very loud.
  • The WAP doesn’t work (at least for me it doesn’t)
  • The main menu cannot be rearranged
  • It doesn’t come with a usb lead for data transfer
  • The shortcuts of the buttons on the main menu cannot be changed

I will be uploading a tutorial of how to connect to your pc via bluetooth soon.
